Would like to add something from investment bencher. when we’re comparing between becoming a musician and an engineer, whereby one needs to go to university and the other doesn’t, there is a huge discrepancy between them. One earns a lot more than the other, however we cannot assume that wages is the only factor in terms of career choices. The problem with Malaysia, wages are stuck and in order to get and secure that future in order to have a good comfortable life, many youths will stick out and say, yes to a degree. in other countries where tertiary education is funded by the govt, youths have a choice whether or not to have or not have a degree. In France for example, it is a norm to not have a degree and follow your passion. It doesn’t take a degree from SciencePo to become successful there, as a baker can earn a comfortable living even up to the day they retire. Hence, earning a degree isn’t really a need there anymore. However, we have millions of Malaysians who wants to have that comfortable lifestyle and a mere shopkeeper doesn’t actually allow you to have that security that an engineer can get.
Factor to look out for:
1. Stagnant income (How long will it take a McDonalds employee to become a Manager and earn a salary of up to RM10,000-a salary that can actually secure you to buy a proper house in a prospective neighborhood)
2. Industry discrimination (One industry promises a far better prospect than the other. Supply and Demand)

Review:
DS Najib spoke that night, not as a Prime Minister, but as the leader of UMNO. He changed his tune as the leader of Barisan Nasional that will continue it’s struggle towards the 13th General Election come this summer.
This is more than just a political theater. He managed to paint the Bersih movement and Opposition as radical rebels and merely demonstrators. He managed to teach Bersih and the Opposition a lesson and make them look so little after the massive turnout at the 3.0 event on April 28th. He managed to make UMNO look as the party that can actually make Malaysia a better place for Malaysians to live.
He stressed on the tradition and passion of UMNO. These two factors that the opposition parties can’t really have in their ideology. The opposition can focus on making their policies that work, however they cannot play politics of tradition at all. Many UMNO followers have roots in the party either from their family or when they were studying in the history books.
My advice to PKR, look for a chance to transform yourself. All the scandals and finger pointing are there to show that there are rooms for improvement in the party. Despite how much your opponents reveal incriminating ‘evidence’ about your pact, there could be a way to channel that negativity into something positive.
